Plywood Presents is an annual gathering for organizations doing good.

Our 2019 experience hosted a collaborative space for people doing good work, projects making the world a better place, industry leaders bringing game-changing innovation to their marketplace, and creative talent causing all of us to live more on purpose.

Attendees were able to select from multiple venues ranging from intimate groups to exciting crowds. Change-makers and idea-generators were also able to choose from classes, workshops, or “shows” that were sprinkled throughout Warehouse Row.

Melissa Long is an Emmy-winning storyteller, media expert and entrepreneur who recently traded in the broadcast studio for a coworking cube as a founding member of the innovative news startup, Ground.

Earlier in her career, Melissa served as an anchor/reporter with CNN, Bloomberg TV in Manhattan, Sydney and Hong Kong and local stations in Atlanta and Rochester. She has participated in fellowships through the United Nations Foundation, National Press Foundation, RIAS in Germany and the East-West Center in China. Melissa graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University with a dual degree in journalism and policy studies and was awarded an MBA from the University of Rochester.

A passionate traveler originally from New York State, Melissa lives in Atlanta with her husband and two toddlers.
