Wireless Hacking Walkthrough - WPA PSK

For today's video I'm using the following hardware:

You can likely do just fine using other wireless hardware, but keep in mind that you will probably have to install separate drivers for the USB wireless adapter that you end up using (and that most wireless adapters built into laptops won't work for our purposes).

Also remember to keep your devices physically separated. If your Kali attack machine, victim router, and victim client are all within very close proximity (such as a few feet - think on the same table or workbench), they will interfere with each other and cause frustrating intermittent problems and failed attacks. Trying to hack under those conditions would be like trying to paint little trees with a traditional brush!

Lastly, as mentioned in the video, DO NOT ever, under any circumstances, use these techniques to attack or test a wireless network that does not belong to you and for which you do not have permission to test. Doing so (even without intent to cause harm) will likely constitute a criminal act in your jurisdiction. We're all here to learn, not to run into trouble with the law.
