Este segundo programa con J. L. Borges, en color, se grabó el 23 de abril de 1980, coincidiendo con la entrega del Premio Cervantes.
Borges tiene ochenta años, su madre ha muerto, y es el momento culminante del “boom Borges“, cuando se lee a Borges en todo el mundo.
El escritor da un consejo: «yo soñé esta mañana que me moría, y sentí una gran sensación de alivio. Les aconsejo que se olviden de mí». Pero no le olvidamos, convencidos de que seguramente no decía siempre la verdad: «decir la verdad siempre, es una pedantería».

En el año 2001 Gonzalo Herralde realizó varias presentaciones con Joaquín Soler Serrano de programas de A FONDO, en la que sería su última aparición profesional antes las cámaras.
En este caso se trata del SEGUNDO A FONDO con JORGE LUIS BORGES de 1980.
La producción se hizo gracias a la colaboración con RTVE para los Canales Temáticos Internacionales, que dirigía JAVIER MARTÍN DOMINGUEZ.

This second program with J. L. Borges, in color, was recorded on April 23, 1980, coinciding with the awarding of the Cervantes Prize.
Borges is eighty years old, his mother has died, and it is the culminating moment of the “Borges boom”, when Borges is read all over the world.
The writer gives some advice: “I dreamed this morning that I was dying, and I felt a great sense of relief. I advise you to forget about me." But we do not forget him, convinced that he surely did not always tell the truth: «always telling the truth is pedantry».

In 2001, Gonzalo Herralde made several appearances with Joaquín Soler Serrano on "IN DEPHT" programs, in what would be his last professional appearance before the cameras.
In this case it is the SECOND IN DEPTH with JORGE LUIS BORGES from 1980.
The production was made thanks to the collaboration with RTVE for International Thematic Channels, directed by JAVIER MARTÍN DOMINGUEZ.
