This video was origonally uploaded for Minecraft 1.7.10. All steps are the same for Minecraft 1.16.3.

The .jar file name for 1.8 has changed. This is a tutorial showing how to get around this name change. Also, this tutorial includes how to allow the "eula.txt" file to run.

All steps listed in the video:

1. Go to:
https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/downl...

2. Download: minecraft_server.1.16.3.jar

3. Open Text Edit, make sure it is in "Plain Text Mode," paste in the code below.

#!/bin/bash
cd "$(dirname "$0")"
exec java -Xmx1G -Xms1G -jar minecraft_server.1.16.3.jar nogui

Don't forget to add nogui to the end of your code to keep extra windows from opening.

4. Save into the same folder as your .jar file as start.command (it does not matter what comes before just as long as you have it as a .command file).

5. Open Terminal and enter chmod(space)a+x(space). Then click and drag your "start.command" file after the space and click enter.

6. Open the start.command and wait for all folders to load.

7. Open the eula.txt file and change "eula=false" to "eula=true" then save the file.

8. Reopen your start.command file and let the other folders load.

9. Find your IP address and join your server.
