Arcade Creek Cleanup @ Keoncrest Circle (Sacramento, CA), 11/9/23

Warning Long Video, but accurate illustration of how a scouting trip can evolve into a 3-hour, 20,000 step “Creek Fit” adventure with the unexpected removal of 1,500 lbs of trash from the banks of Arcade Creek.

As of April 15, 2024, RCWA volunteers had removed over 1.4 Million pounds of trash from Sacramento area waterways in just 15 months during more than 400 cleanup events. While the labor for these events is donated by the hardworking volunteers, we attempt to reimburse folks for their tools, supplies, equipment, fuel for dump runs and occasional lunches. Without donations, we would not be able to continue this monumental momentum.
