Easy one pot meal. Quick to cook on even the simplest backpacking gas stove, wood fire or alcohol. My duel alcohol stove system is designed for this style of cooking as the smaller stove has far less heat output, so it will simmer without burning the pan.

The absorption method of rice cooking is used. Use twice as much water as rice, bring to a boil, cover and simmer for fifteen minutes. By then almost all of the liquid will be absorbed. Remove from the heat and let stand for another five minutes. By the end of which all the liquid will be absorbed and will still be piping hot.

About 100 ml Rice
Twice volume of Water as Rice
Half Chicken Breast, thinly sliced
About 4 Spring Onions
About 1/4 Bell Pepper
20 ml Soya Sauce
Juice of Half a Lemon
Chicken Stock
Fresh Ginger

Don't fry the chicken too much or it will become tough. Just fry enough so as it loses it's pink colour. The boiling and steaming will do the rest.
