The new flagship for the LDV ute range is the T60 Max Plus, available in extra-long Mega Tub variant as well as in regular-length guise as tested here in automatic form. And it comes with newly facelifted styling.

Priced at around $50K driveaway, the T60 Max Plus auto really is the most logical nemesis to the likes of high-spec Ford Ranger Wildtrak and Toyota Hilux SR5, at a more wallet-friendly price point.

Here Chasing Cars’ contributor Nathan Ponchard takes a deep dive into what’s new for the T60 that’s now in its fourth lifecycle update.

Ponchard finds out what you get in the Max Plus package here on test, and whether the maturing LDV model has maintained appeal and relevance with its place in Australia’s hotly contested ute segment.
