'Stopping' Remote Desktop Services (RDS) in RDSH Application Server - unable to connect w/ PCoIP

Описание к видео 'Stopping' Remote Desktop Services (RDS) in RDSH Application Server - unable to connect w/ PCoIP

VMware Horizon Client unable to connect, access, and launch a published WordPad Application using PCoIP when Remote Desktop Services (‘RDS’) is ‘Stopped’ on the Remote Desktop Session Host (‘RDSH’) Application Server

Remote Desktop Services (‘RDS’) is an umbrella term for technologies of Microsoft Windows Server that enable users to connect to RemoteApp programs, session-based desktops and virtual desktops. With RDS, users can access remote connections from within a corporate network or from the internet. Remote Desktop Protocol (‘RDP’) is inherently built into RDS. A remote connection must be made between a client and Remote Desktop Session Host (‘RDSH’) server in order to enable a user to connect, access, and launch RemoteApp programs, where a remote display protocol is used to deliver the published application displayed on a client. Remote connections uses RDP to transmit data through this connection. When Remote Desktop Services (RDS) in the RDSH Application server is ‘Stopped’, remote connections, which uses RDP to transmit data, is disabled.

Result: When RDS is ‘Stopped’ in the RDSH Application server , a published application cannot be delivered to a user on a VMware Client using PCoIP. It is only when RDS is turned on and ‘Running’ that a remote connection can be made to the RDSH Application server. The remote connection, which uses RDP to transmit data, allows a user to connect, access, and launch a published application on the RDSH Application server, using PCoIP on the VMware Client to deliver the published application.
