Creating a Textured Slab Platter from a Bamboo Tools Adjustable Octagonal Mold

Описание к видео Creating a Textured Slab Platter from a Bamboo Tools Adjustable Octagonal Mold

In this video, I demonstrate how to roll and texture a slab, and slump it into a wonderful wooden adjustable octagonal mold from Bamboo tools. (Mold was sent to me from Bamboo Tools) This awesome mold allows you to adjust the length of the sides, to give you practically limitless versatility in size options. Based on the size of the platters I am making and my claybody, I recommend a slab about 3/8" thick. (For my students, that is the YELLOW slab sticks) If you are shrinking down the platter size, 1/4" would be fine.

In the video, I use laguna b-mix cone 5 clay, and I show a platter with Coyote Rootbeer Glaze- cone 6.
In the video, I use the Bamboo Tools adjustable hexagonal mold, the texture roller, and the measurement canvas.
