Structural Concrete is meant to be neither seen nor heard. This changes when the concrete is the finish. Bugholes, lift lines, fins and ties may present a problem for architectural concrete. Polishing structural concrete to get an architectural finish can lead to issues when the polishing reveals the results of normal variation and dimensional tolerances.
