One of my favourites parts of Hans Zimmer's work for "Man of Steel" is a peculiar motif associated mostly to Krypton and occasionally also to Clark. It appears most evidently in the track "Launch" and the first part of "Man of Steel (Hans' Original Sketchbook)", and it's a theme that I've always loved to hear - and I noticed it isn't appreciated enough.
I decided to name this motif as Kal-El's theme to underline Superman's kryptonian origin. This theme consists in an elaborate sequence of notes and a unique set of synthetic sounds that stands out remarkably in the score. It conveys musically an unearthly sense of hope, might and awe, which Henry Cavill portrayed magnificently with his Superman. I gathered here the various arrangements of this theme from "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman", adding in tracks like "Terraforming" and "Sent Here for a Reason" to help with the transition and closure of the suite despite not featuring the theme itself.
