"Checkmate" was produced during the summer of 2016 during the Longleaf Studios Film Camp. The Camp is in its 4th year and open to students from the ages of 14 to 21. For more information please go to www.longleafstudios.com and look for the latest on film camp. The 2018 camp is already filling up and there is only room for about 20 students.

This film was presented for the first time during the Tuesday Night Longleaf Studios Crew class during the live production of Alabama Film Community TV Live, Episode 3

The script was written by the students taking part int he Longleaf Studios Film Camp.

The students used the Lumix GH4, and Lumix 1000 to film this project in 4k and edited down to HD.
