THINGS TO DO IN AMSTERDAM | NDSM, Jordaan & More!

Everyone knows to go on a canal cruise in Amsterdam, but what are the other top things to do in Amsterdam? Luckily, there are a lot of fun and free things to do in Amsterdam to keep you entertained for days.

In our Amsterdam vlog, we start out exploring the Jordaan neighborhood where we eat delicious Dutch apple pie for breakfast. Yum! Afterwards, we stop by the Anne Frank House to pay a little homage. Next, to wait out the rain, we walked over to the Foodhallen, which had a wide variety of international food to enjoy. We highly recommend eating here when in Amsterdam!

Next, we stroll through Amsterdam’s red light district, because that’s a must-do in Amsterdam, right? Afterwards, we visited the VOC, or the Dutch East India Company building and learn a bit about the history of global trade in The Netherlands. To wrap up the first day, we stroll through Vondelpark to have a peaceful moment.

The next morning, we walk through Sloten, the neighborhood we stayed at and check out an authentic Dutch Windmill. Wrapping up our second day in Amsterdam, we take a ferry to NDSM, which is a neat, artistic neighborhood in Amsterdam. Exploring NDSM is one of the coolest things to do in Amsterdam. We recommend having lunch or a happy hour there and be sure to check the NDSM website to see if there are any fun events or concerts going on when you’re in town!

Overall, this was a great day exploring some of the best things to do in Amsterdam. Next, we head home for a couple of weeks before returning to Europe. As always, we’ll see you in our next video as we Keep Going Places!
