I had a request in the comments of my last short about calibrating an SWR meter, not sure if this is what was meant or not but it is a good topic to revisit.

while I use a NanoVNA to check SWR over these meters as I can usually get a good idea that way not everyone has one of these tools and more than likely has bought a CB radio and been sold an antenna and SWR meter with it.

Power measurement calculations cannot be calibrated unless you have a known source to calibrate from, for instance a radio tuned on a properly calibrated test set, the demonstration radio in the video, a Midland 77-095, has been tuned on a Zetagi meter that reads power between 26-30MHz which is why it reads closer to 4 watts on that compared to this K-Po meter as demonstrated in my last short
