Greetings Cosmik Ponies and Earthlings...
and welcome to yet another instalment in this PMV Odyssey.
This 21st PMV features a monolithic journey through space, time and the universe in order to take a look back at the moments, both small and great, that forged the equestrian lore, from the ancient pillars to the six legendary friends of harmony.
This PMV, as my entry for the 2023 EFNW PMV Contest, got me the "Most Technical" award for the second year in a row, so I am very glad to have defended this title with my entry for this year!
It's also my very first PMV to feature 24 frames per seconds!
It's a little bit of an happy accident that this came to be this way,
as I initially wanted to fix something in Premiere Pro by using this frame-rate value,
but I more than happy that I tried something new because of this!

This one was also made possible with an amazing song created by an 80's Zeuhl/Progressive/Jazz Rock band from France named Eider Stellaire.
The song is actually called "Légende" and since a lot of months ago, I had thoughts of making a pretty cosmic PMV out of this tune.

To talk more about the PMV itself,
I have to say that it's surely not perfect as I'll have to admit that some of these sections are a bit hard to follow and there some elements that could have been more polished.
If I had the time, I would surely try to tweak this to make it a lot better!
To be honest, with this video while producing it, I never felt more stress and pressure than ever before compared to the creation of other PMVs in the past.
This happened because of the delayed announcement of the contest for this year, personal and technical factors and the lack of time I had to produce such an ambitious video even though the judge generously gave me more time to do so, pushing all of this to the brink of not being able to be a part of this contest in the first place!
I even left some mistakes in the version that I submitted in!
So, to say it all, stress almost got the best of me again,
but luckily, even through all of this emotional stuff and with an imperfect final product,
I was still able to complete it just in time and they are still things that made this video great to make it shine for the contest.
With the quality of my editing and production values, the great and varied graphics throughout and the simple but accurate color grading, I think that i created a PMV that can leave a mark for this contest.
I can also learn a lot about these overall strengths and weaknesses in order to create even better PMVs in the future that can reflect a more minimalistic but even more ambitious nature!

Finally,
I know that I wanted to release a pretty massive PMV months ago, but because of my busy life and the production of this one, I will have to take even more time to smoothly complete this upcoming one!
If anything goes well, I'd like to release it before the end of the year,
with perhaps December being the ultimate deadline so you could enjoy this one just as the holidays begin!

The overall visual style of this thumbnail is also inspired by an album cover from another "Zeuhl" band from the 70's (Not the one featured in this video and one I might feature with one of their songs in a future PMV of mine...)
