The spectator shuffles the deck and rolls a pair of dice.

Your prediction will however still work even under this impossible conditions!

No setup, completely impromptu, no slide of hands required - do I have to say more?

Step by step

Let the spectator shuffle the deck thoroughly
Show him (spread the cards) that there is no setup in the deck
Secretly look for eight cards from the top of the deck remember it, and write it down as a prediction
Leave the prediction in a place where the audience can see it and then show them pair of dice
Spectator will follow your instructions
Ask him to roll the both dice and add two numbers together
Let the spectator to choose one dice and turn it over completely
Add number from turned dice to your previous result
Let the spectator roll the dice that he turned over and again add the number - this will be the final result
Count that number of cards from the top of the deck
Look at dices for the last time and add their numbers together
Count this number of cards from the top of the pile you have now in your hands
The last card counted will amazingly match your prediction
