How To Chop Drum Breaks With Amigo 2.0

Описание к видео How To Chop Drum Breaks With Amigo 2.0

💠💠💠 This is an early BETA version of Amigo that is coming soon! 💠💠💠

Overview of techniques at the bottom of the description.👇

I know i’ve gone over this 1000 times already but I wanted to do a complete walkthrough in one place so I can sent people here if they ever have trouble understanding this topic.

I know lots of people also chop with audio but I think there are a lot of benefits to Midi chopping once you get your hear around the basics. I hope this helps. 😊

I’m going to hit the ground running after the break & have lots of plans coming in hot! 🚀✌️

The Techniques

Individual Slice Techniques
(1) Equal Slices
Slice the break at even intervals to include all the hits (16th slices in this case)
(2) Manual Slice Hits
Manually slice by setting markers at all the transient for the hits.
(3) Equal Slices with tight kicks & snares
Use equal slices for all the hits but move the markers for the kicks and snares to be tight to the hits.

Long Slice Techniques
(1) Equal Long Slices
Evenly slice the break into larger sections like 1/4 notes. The break must be pitched or time stretched to your BPM. You can also let the break slices run through one & another to the end of the whole sample.
(2) Custom Long Slices
This is the classic Photek technique where you chose you slice points. The break must also be pitched or time stretched to your BPM. Often the Kick, Snare & Shuffle.
