Once again we are off with Transport for Wales on a beautiful summer’s day. This time we head through rural Wales and on into England’s border counties to Shrewsbury and on through Birmingham New Street to Birmingham International. We’ve been on the Transpennine services to Manchester Airport but this is the service that originated at Holyhead and we pick it up at Chester. Loads of interesting sights to see along the way so step onto our Class 158 and ride with us.

Addendum

11:37 should read 158 and not 185

The comment about the Snow Hill line passing under the north tunnel is incorrect. It actually passes under the south tunnel.
