Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Pt. 1/3

Spent 11 days in Vietnam, giving us plenty of time to watch as the Vietnamese people celebrated their most important holiday, Tet. Tet is the Lunar New Year for Vietnam. It is a time when everyone returns to their hometown to be with their families and celebrate the upcoming new year. This is the first part of Ho Chi Minh City and one of several videos during our time here as we explore a couple more cities.

1- Ho Chi Min City commonly referred to as Saigon by the locals, is the most populous city in Vietnam.

2- Bến Thành Market is the most famous shopping destination for tourists in district 1. Its nice place to buy local handcrafts, branded items or knock offs to traditional clothing.

3- Bến Nghé Street Food is a great place to eat and highly recommend. The basic premise is lots of food stalls, from selling local food, BBQ, Indian food to tacos.

4- Indochina Queen Cruise on Saigon River is a wooden ship with neon lights that makes it glow in the evening. Live entertainment, a buffet for dinner, plenty of windows to view the river or you can head up to the top deck for the view.

5- Đường Bùi Viện walking street also known as Western Street is full of restaurants, hotels and bars. Backpackers come here to have fun and to see the nightlife.
