Merida REACTO 2021 and 32mm Conti GP5000 tire clearance

The latest 4th generation of Merida REACTO was released in the end of 2020. It's an amazingly balanced aero road bike, and on top of this it's a superb value for money, just like many Merida models are! The bike comes fitted with 25mm tires. It's a modern standard for racing tire width, and for high to medium quality asphalt it works great. But if you ride some old rough asphalt with lots of sticking stones, you might be considering fitting something wider. Let's try to fit the widest available Continental GP5000 (tube version), which is 32c, and check the tire clearance. The tires are fitted to Vision Metron 55SL clincher rims. Actual width of the tire, inflated to ~70 PSI (~5 bar), is 31.20-31.25 mm.
