In the prison yard adjoining Cell Block B at South Africa's infamous Robben Island prison, Pepperdine law professor and Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution director Tom Stipanowich interviews Eddie Daniels, an anti-apartheid activist who was imprisoned with ANC leaders Nelson Mandela, Walter Sisulu and others from 1964 to 1979. Daniels describes his relationship with Mandela and shares personal experiences that illustrate Mandela's great empathy and kindness toward his fellow prisoners.
