Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories takes you back to the East Coast.

The game is set in the fictional city of Liberty City (which is also the main setting of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Advance, Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars). The events of the game are set in 1998, three years before the story of Grand Theft Auto III.

A once trusted man in the Leone crime clan, Tony Cipriani, returns home after committing a murder and being forced into hiding. Now Liberty City is seething. The redistribution of spheres of influence of mafia clans threatens to split the city, mired in corruption, crime and drug trafficking. Gangsters, corrupt millionaires, cynical politicians and, finally, his own mother stand in the way of Tony, who helps the Leone clan to take over the city.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (GTA: Liberty City Stories or GTA: LCS) is a computer game developed in collaboration between Rockstar Leeds and Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It is the ninth installment and fourth three-dimensional game in the Grand Theft Auto series. It was originally released as an exclusive for the PlayStation Portable in October 2005. A port was later released for the PlayStation 2 in June 2006. At the time of release, the recommended retail price of the PS2 port was about half the price of the PSP version, because the PS2 version lacks the ability to play the user's music in-game as the PSP version does.
Ports for IOS, Android and Fire OS devices were also released in December 2015, February 2016 and March 2016 respectively.
