किडनी खतरे में? ये संकेत न करें अनदेखा | Early Signs of Kidney Problems | Dr Puru Dhawan | SRIAAS
When kidneys start to weaken, they give small warning signs. However, many people don’t notice them because they don’t know what to look for. In this video, Dr. Puru Dhawan discusses important signs of kidney problems. Knowing these signs early can help with better treatment and care. Kidneys can lose up to 90% of their function before showing serious symptoms, making early detection crucial.

In the early stage of kidney failure, urine may look foamy, like soapy water with bubbles. This can be an early warning sign, and a Kidney Function Test (KFT) is needed to check kidney health. Many times, the KFT report shows normal creatinine levels, but a small amount of protein leaking into the urine can still indicate a problem. Sadly, 90% of people don’t notice this early sign, which can lead to bigger kidney issues later.
𝟮. 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲
If you often get headaches, it might be due to high blood pressure. Many people take medicine for headaches but don’t realize what’s causing them. High blood pressure is a major reason for kidney damage. If you have kidney problems, it’s important to check your blood pressure regularly and get urine and kidney tests on time.
𝟯. 𝗛𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆
Anemia is common in kidney failure and can make you feel very weak and tired. This happens because weak kidneys do not make enough of a hormone called erythropoietin (EPO), which helps produce red blood cells. Low red blood cells mean less oxygen in the body, making you feel exhausted. If not treated, anemia can make kidney disease worse and increase the risk of heart problems. Detecting it early and getting the right treatment can help control the condition.
𝟰. 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Swelling is a common sign of kidney failure. When kidneys don’t work properly, extra fluid and salt stay in the body, leading to swelling in different areas. If swelling is not treated, it can cause high blood pressure, breathing issues, and heart problems. Taking care of kidney health can help reduce swelling and improve overall well-being.
𝟱. 𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵
Feeling tired all the time and having low energy could be a sign of kidney failure. Weak kidneys cannot remove toxins properly, which can lead to anemia and make the body feel drained. Even simple daily tasks may feel exhausting.
If you feel weak, avoid taking multivitamins, as they won’t fix the problem. Ignoring these signs can make the disease worse. If fatigue doesn’t go away, it’s important to see a doctor and get your kidneys checked.
