Building a mix on the Behringer X32

In this video I walk through some of my initial setup to mix tracks on a Behringer X32 console.

I took live stems from a recent worship recording and played them back through an X32 Producer console. I wanted to challenge myself to build a solid mix on the most-used console for churches and live music venues.

Everything you hear on the video example (there is a whole song at the end of the explanation) was mixed directly on the X32 with no outboard processing or external effects.

I wanted to show that it was totally possible to get a good LR mix from an X32 and that our ears matter more than the gear!

I used Dante to patch the stems back into the console from my tracks rig. From there it went to the LR mix to the 2-track USB mix-down on the X32. I put that audio with the video footage and synced them in Premiere. I did a little bit on gain addition and put a hard limiter on the audio so it would not clip online.
