Early TV and Movie Superhero Special Effects

In this video I look at early special effects techniques in TV and movie superhero films and television series like The Adventures of Superman starring George Reeves, Wonder Woman starring Lynda Carter, the Shazam TV series, the Captain Marvel movie serial, the Superman movie serial starring Kirk Alyn, the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman starring Lee Majors and Lyndsay Wagner plus the 1966 Batman starring Adam West and Burt Ward and the Incredible Hulk starring Lou Ferrigno.

I review the flying techniques used for superheroes like Superman, Captain Marvel, and the Greatest American Hero. I talk about the problems with Lou Ferrigno's Hulk makeup, plus I talk about how Wonder Woman achieved the bullets and bracelets effect. Plus I look at a few of the superhero effects used on the Christopher Reeve Superman movies.
