Cross-country skiing with dogs is what the sport of skijoring is all
about. On the frozen lake of Lac La Biche in Northern Alberta -
competitors hitch themselves to their two-dog team and attempt to
fight through the wind and snow to cross the finish line first. The
two-dog junior sled race shows that determination and courage have
nothing to do with age. Four junior mushers under 11 years old
battle in a two mile race full of triumphs and mishaps. And
regardless of where they finish, in their hearts these kids know that
each of their dogs is the true top dog.
