In May 2024 my good friend and cinematographer, Brad Cooper and I were invited to participate in a documentary project in Morocco for our friend Rachel who’d received a Fulbright scholarship to research a dying culture, language and music. Having never been to Morocco or even Africa, I jumped at the opportunity. While it wasn’t a vacation exactly we did manage to find some time to explore.

The culture and history are rich and quite interesting. However, even if you've done some traveling, Morocco is a little different in some key ways. What we learned might be of some use.
