A Genshin Impact player has discovered a five-star weapon while exploring the Chenyu Vale subregion added in the current update. The world of Teyvat keeps expanding with every new version of the game, and 4.4 has finally introduced the long-awaited new area.

This region was initially referenced in Genshin Impact version 2.6, and since that announcement, Travelers have had many theories about what the place might look like. The new region was not the only new piece of content that arrived in the current update as the game introduced two new Liyue characters, Xianyun and Gaming.

A Reddit user named Proxima_02 has shared an interesting in-game screenshot showing a well-known weapon they discovered while exploring the new Chenyu Vale subregion in Liyue. The weapon is known as the five-star polearm Calamity Queller, which has been part of the game for over two years since it was released back in version 2.4 as the signature weapon for the Cryo user Shenhe. The inscription shown in the screenshot reveals that the polearm bore a significant purpose in the past: to avert great disaster. It tells a tale of its last user, a friend of the speaker, who voted to fulfill the spear's destiny and prevent calamity.

This interesting finding got a lot of attention in the community as fans praised HoYoverse's approach to world design. Some fans even proposed that the game should allow players to occasionally find powerful weapons, as it would take the exploration experience to the next level. However, it's highly unlikely that something similar will happen in the future, since Genshin Impact's Weapon Banner is one of the game's main sources of revenue.

A couple of comments have pointed out that this is not the first time that the game featured one of its weapons in the overworld.The famous Wolf's Gravestone claymore can also be seen in the middle of the arena that hosts the Wolf of the North Challenge, a boss fight in which players can fight Genshin Impact's Andrius, also known as Lupus Boreas.
