This is Video No 13 in the series. Lesson 13 is for the discussion of Power Method in obtaining Largest Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors.

Eigenvalues are an intrinsic figures associated to the diagonal elements of square matrices. The number of eigenvalues depends on the size of matrices, for a 3 X 3 matrix, it has three eigenvalues. In general, for an N X N matrix there is N eigenvalues. Each eigenvalue is associated with its eigenvector, written as Lambda and v as its vector.

There is the largest and smallest eigenvalues (in modulus) in any square matrices. The largest can be determined via Power Method whilst the smallest can be obtained by shifting the origin then applying Power Method. The theory for Power Method is explained in this video.
