Dad's "Top 3 Tips for Making Rice in Instant Pot." That video has generated a bunch of questions about making rice in the instant pot so Dad decided it neeeded a follow up. Also, Dad wasn't the best at videos back then so the quality wasn't up to his current standards.

In this video Dad shows you his super easyt method for making white, or jasmine rice, in the instant pot. THis has NEVER let him down and makes perfect instant pot rice every time.

Dad also goes through and answers the top questions from his previous instant pot rice video. After this, you will be an instant pot rice expert.

Ingredients
Jasmine Rice
Water

NOTE: The cup that came with the Instant Pot is a 3/4 cup, NOT 1 CUP.

Instructions
1. Remove the lid from your instant pot.
2. Make sure you have your silicone ring seated properly in the lid of the instant pot.
3. Remove the inner pot.
4. Add 2 of the instant pot cups (actually 1 and 1/2 cups if using a measuring cup) of jasmine rice to the inner pot.
5. Rinse the rice under cold water. You can do this inside the inner pot. Once the rice is covered with water swirl it around in the pot for 30 seconds or so.
6. Drain the water out by tipping the inner pot over the sink carefully until the water begins to run out. When the water has just about stopped running out and the rice is about to reach the edge of the pot stop.
7. Repeat the fill, spin, and pour 2 more times.
8. Add 2 and 1/4 cups (Actually 1 and 3/4 cups if using a measuring cup) of water.
9. Plugin the instant pot.
10. Place your lid on the instant pot and turn it clockwise until you hear the music.
11. Make sure the toggle of the top is set to sealing.
12. Press the rice button. The unit will calculate the time, it is normally 10 minutes for this amount of rice. You can also use the manual or high-pressure setting and set the unit to 10 minutes and the results will be the same.
13. Wait until the instant pot beeps to signal that it is done and turn the toggle on the top to venting.
14. Wait until all the steam has vented and turn the lid counter-clockwise to unlock it and open it.
15. Use your rice scooper to chop up, stir, and "fluff" the rice then serve.
16. If you don't want your rice to stick you should immediately remove it from the inner pot. As it sits on keep warm the rice will dry out and stick.
