TheBossGolfs: Kinloch Golf Club

Kinloch Golf Club is one of the finer, pure modern-day Parkland courses I have played. It is easy to see the property is widely considered the best Golf Club in Virginia. Designed by Lester George, who also designed Ballyhack, my favorite golf course in Virginia. Kinloch is one of those rare courses that does not have a mix of great and forgettable holes, each hole is unique and beautiful. The fairways are generous, but several holes have a demanding risk-reward option. Most of the risk-reward holes have tempting split fairway tees. The course is routed through dense, tall pines with rolling hills and several holes have creeks and streams that come into play. The greens are gently undulating and present considerable challenges, especially at high speeds on the stip meter. The entire course is beautiful with several holes framed around a large lake on both the front and the back nines. They clearly stand out as the most jaw-dropping without minimizing the non-lake holes. The course is a beautiful walk and is kept in outstanding condition. I strongly recommend this private course located outside of Richmond, Virginia.
