If your microwave is dead and not working it might just be a blown fuse which is easy to fix. In my case the fuse was blowing and tripping the breaker when we would open or close the microwave door. See part 2 and part 3 to see how I also replaced the door switches.

My Whirlpool WMH53520CS-5 above the range microwave was blowing a fuse and tripping the breaker when we would open or close the door. Rather than continually replacing the fuse I decided to replace the 3 door switches. It only took a couple of hours and $20 to buy the switches online and to buy a new fuse. This fixed the problem!
