Victron Orion DC-DC Non-Isolated Charger B2B Installation in my Fiat Ducato Campervan

Описание к видео Victron Orion DC-DC Non-Isolated Charger B2B Installation in my Fiat Ducato Campervan

Fitting a Victron Orion B2B charger with Smart Bluetooth capability to the Campervan to enable more charge as we drive about. This gives up to 30A more charge.

If there's interest, will follow up with a video covering the D+ wiring and how to find your alternator capacity on a Ducato - let me know in the comments.

There are a number of different types of B2B from different manufacturers, I chose Victron because it aligns with the other kit I have in the campervan, but similar chargers are available from manufacturers such as Renogy and Sterling.

I did consider a combined one but prefer separate components in the event of an issue it's easier to resolve/replace that particular component.

What I used:

16mm2 Red cable (5-6m)
50mm2 Black cable for the negative (1m)
16mm2 Black cable for the internal negative (2m)
60A DC Breaker
2 x 40A Midi Fuses and Fuse Holder for the input and the output of the B2B.
1 x 60A Mega Fuse for Vehicle Battery connection.
1 x 60A Midi Fuse and fuse holder for the connection back to the leisure battery.
20mm conduit for running the cable in underneath (10m).
Appropriate cable termination including heat shrinking.
