Wirksworth is a village in Derbyshire that is known as 'The Gem of the Peak'. It's a former market town that sat on a trade route between Manchester and Derby, but made its fortune as a lead mining and limestone quarrying hotspot.
The village was crisscrossed with railway lines, mineral lines, quarries, and lead mines, and so it's quite a job to work out exactly what is going on. Some are ancient, some more recent. Some railways remain, some have been quarried away.

In this video me, Phil and Nikita focus on the Reventor incline, and all the quarry lines that came off of that.
We look at Middle Peak, Stoneycroft and Coal Hill quarries, and find remains of bridges, tunnels, lime kilns, tracks, wagons, the lot.
