The Mastectomy Tattooing Alliance (MTA) is a registered charity founded by Tanya Buxton in 2021, created to help support breast cancer survivors reclaim their bodies after mastectomy surgeries.

We believe that all breast cancer survivors deserve the opportunity to receive a high quality mastectomy and/or areola tattoo, if they so wish.
Whether you choose to decorate your skin with a beautifully crafted tattoo design, or a natural and realistic 3D Areola Tattoo, the empowering possibilities through tattooing are endless.

Our aim is to make these tattoos more affordable and more widely available to breast cancer survivors by providing funding and building a network of experienced mastectomy tattoo artists to connect people with.
By building a strong network of talented artists, the Mastectomy Tattooing Alliance will also ensure peace of mind to the client that their artist has a high level of quality, skill and artistry.
