Snapdragon - HPV Elimination Race

Unhinged competes in the Snapdragon elimination race of the 2023 Fast Cats Racing Velodrome Race Day held 27 August 2023 at Hanson Reserve, Woodville Gardens, South Australia.

Snapdragon Race Information and times
This is a race for individual competitors with three stages:

Stage 1: Strategic
The race starts when the green flag is waved. There is a pacer trike at the front of the pack, this trike cannot be over-taken and will leave the track after 5 laps, at which time the Australian flag will be waved.
Riders will be disqualified if they overtake the pacer trike, any trike overtaken by the pace making trike is automatically eliminated.

Stage 2: Elimination
At the end of every two laps, one or tow trikes at the tails of the field, will be eliminated (depending on the number of competitors) until only six
trikes remain. A red flag will be waved signifying the number of the
trike being eliminated.. Any trike that laps others does not
start a lap ahead in stage 3. At this point the Australian flag
signifying the start of the final stage of the race.

Stage 3: Final (sprint)
The trike in first position starts this section in first place. The
remaining trikes take their relative position into this
section. All riders are required to complete five laps to
determine the final placings. If your team has a spare trike,
why not have a go. There is no entry fee for this race.
Riders must be confident they are aware of the rules before
entering this race.
