In this self defense tip, Jim West covers a fighting stance he calls the Crash Position. This crash position fighting stance is what will get you into position to attack with a wide array of move sets that Jim West later demonstrates in his Master of Destruction DVD series.

The crash position lowers your center of gravity to defend against shooting takedowns, keeps your hands and arms up to protect your head and your feet up and ready to absorb any incoming force. Jim West then follows up with an effect counter strike drill using your elbow to get inside and continue to finish the fight.
