Hi! I’m excited to share with you my first cover from Super Metroid! I’ve been wanting to cover this song for years! This ost, and this song in particular, brings me such nostalgia. I wasn’t sure how I’d approach it back then, so it stayed on my list for a long time. After posting the Lost Woods cover, and picking the next one, this song popped up in my mind and I decided to revisit it! I just knew the original is so cool, and realized I wanted to keep the sense of space (no pun intended) like the original. I recorded a lot of vocals and sounds but also tried to keep them subtle. I also tried to theme the titles in this video with those seen in the game. ^^ Kenji Yamamoto did an amazing job composing this eerie song, and both he and Minako Hamano composed a great soundtrack for Super Metroid.
