This man suffered from urethral stricture disease for decades as was treated with countless dilations and 31 direct vision internal urethrotomy procedures (DVIU) under anesthesia until his urethra became totally obliterated and he required a drainage tube in his bladder. He was then referred to the Center for Reconstructive Urology where he underwent a highly complex successful urethroplasty and now urinates normally without the need for further treatment.
