Winter Storm Warning issued for all Ohio counties; track the storm here: https://www.10tv.com/article/weather/...

Steady to heavy rain has reached Central Ohio this evening with rain already transitioning to snow in NW Ohio. We will be dealing with rain here in Central Ohio tonight with a gradual changeover to freezing rain and some sleet overnight into daybreak Thursday.

Little to no accumulation will be at this time and it is not expected to cause any widespread issues during the morning commute here in town. In the mid to late morning freezing rain will move in and will be heavier and we’ll see about 0.1-0.25” of ice in town & more southeast. Then this will turn over to sleet & accumulating snow during the mid to late afternoon. We will then likely see snow and heavy snow from time to time through the evening and early part of the night with snow tapering off for Central Ohio early on Friday.

Folks in the north will see all snow while in the south it’ll be more or a mix. As a result we’ll likely see a significant snow, possibly the heaviest of the year, in the north and northwest. In Central Ohio more sleet & ice will mix in bringing down our totals. Areas along and south of I-70 will see less snow but will likely deal with more ice accumulation.

It will then be downright cold with decreasing clouds on Friday & highs in the 20s. Subzero wind chills will also be possible Friday morning. Back into the 20s on Saturday. Sunday & Monday will hit the low & mid 30s with passing clouds.
