Warning from Ukulele for Dummies: Don't buy a baritone ukulele!

Описание к видео Warning from Ukulele for Dummies: Don't buy a baritone ukulele!

People who are guitar players thinking about switching to ukulele are told not to buy a baritone ukulele. See Warning on page 228. I have included a picture of the warning at the end of this video. This seems to me a bit over the top, high handed and ridiculous.

On YouTube I'm most famous for searching out ukulele deals. Here are the two baritone ukuleles I recommend most often. Amazon affiliate links, commission paid at no extra cost to you.

Here's my opinion: If you are a frustrated guitar player who wants the guitar sound, baritone ukulele may be the perfect first ukulele for you. You will be able to use a good bit of what you have been learning playing the guitar . . . but things will be much easier now with the smaller instrument, fewer strings, and easier chords to play. If you want something completely different than guitar, go with a soprano or concert. My guess is most guitar players who purchased baritone and soprano would spend most of their time playing the baritone.

So, which baritone ukuleles do I recommend? I have several caramel baritone ukuleles including rosewood, ebony, acacia, and spalted maple. All are good. Buy a Caramel baritone if you have the money. If you want to save $30-$50, consider Horse or Kmise baritones. These are good ukuleles, but if you are going on stage take a Caramel.
