In this class, we look at the origins of the Church of the East and the Syriac Orthodox Church, and when and how Christological divisions erupted to influence people’s ethnicity and culture. We will explore the beliefs of the various church denominations among Assyrian Christians and how these beliefs have translated into social and political differences.
