Active mechanical logic gates | Capstan Lever Logic (CLL)

Active logic gates for slow, bulky, educational, and fun computers!

In this video I introduce a new way to construct and connect mechanical logic gates. I call it Capstan-Lever Logic or, short, CLL. Here CLL is exemplary implemented with fischertechnik. It should be easy, however, to do it with other construction systems.

I mimic electronic logic mechanically as closely as perhaps possible.

With my logic gates you can immediately build flipflops. In the video I show an SR latch. More complex flipflop types will be presented in future videos.
