The Crazy World of CEX: Episode 4 - Peterborough, Huntington & London

Welcome to the crazy world of CEX! My continuing mission to visit every CEX store, in the world! From the weird to the wonderful, the big to the small I plan to visit them all. So join me for an epic adventure to visit them all all while building my dream game collection along the way!

When shopping in CEX, it is very much like playing the stock market, it’s all about watching those prices and taking advantage of the rise and fall and knowing the best time to buy, so this time we’re trying to buy games for consoles which I think will rise or price over the next few years.

This time we’ll be going to three different CEX stores from all over the U.K. out of the hundreds of stores, and even though they’re all part of a chain, they’re all so different, whilst finishing the episode as usual in my local CEX store of Norwich.

Firstly time we’re off to Peterborough, a larger store but as we’re about to find out, size doesn’t necessarily matter. But one things for sure you’ll never find another CEX store with more copies of Doom 2016 for the PC lol.

Next up we’re off to the tiny store just down the road in Huntington. Now while small this store is absolutely STACKED with some of the best retro I’ve seen in a CEX store for ages including PS1, SNES and Megadrive!

And speaking of PS1 whilst in Huntington I also picked up 2 Platinum PS1 games for my other series the Playstation Platinum Project, my mission to try and collect the entire set of 160 PS1 platinum games released here in the pal region, all in the slave of just one year, check out the series here:

Finally this time we’re heading to the birthplace of CEX, the very first store that opened, right in the heart of London! Is was so interesting to visit the very first CEX store and to see where it all started and what spawned such a huge empire! It’s also super cool that this store still carries the Computer Exchange name and branding, it will be interesting to find out if this is the only one that does?

Finally this time we’ll be finishing our adventure in my home town of Norwich and finally picking up a very underpriced survival horror classic and hunting for hidden games!
