There's no love in the process of buying a home, and in the current low inventory environment buyers are looking for any edge to win the sale. This includes sending "Seller Love Letters". These are letters saying how much you love the home and would love to make it your home. Sometimes buyers go as far as talking about how much they love the school district and including drawings from their children... STOP IT!

This may cross into the realm of Fair Housing. You may not know it but doing something like sending a Seller Love Letter could have you ending up in court. The purpose of Fair Housing is to end discrimination of those under protected classes, and in California we have 22. While good meaning a seller might select your offer over another and get sued by a buyer who feels they've been discriminated against. Now you are being dragged in because you were the offer that won. Best practice as a buyer or a seller is to not include any hint of discrimination.
