Today, I will be replacing the front brakes on a 2014 Audi A4. This brake replacement also applies to 2009-2016 Audi A4 Allroad, Audi A4 Avant 2009-2016, Audi A5 2007-2016, Audi Q5 2008-2016, Audi S4 2010-2016, Audi S5 2008-2016.

This is a detailed video on how to replace your front brakes on your Audi A4/A5/Q5/S4/S5. If you are a DIY mechanic and looking to save some money this video will help you do your brakes on your Audi. This video is to help you step by step and to identify issues with your brake pads and rotors, proper lubrication process to avoid premature brake failure down the road and sizing up your new parts before installing them.

Parts used:
Brembo Premium Front Ceramic Brake pads part number #P85098N
Brembo UV coated front rotors 320mm part number #09.B972.11
Permatex Ceramic Extreme Brake Lubricant part number #24126

Tools you’ll need:
13mm socket (Calliper bolts)
17mm socket (Wheel lug nuts)
21mm socket (Calliper bracket bolts)
1/2” swivel attachment (if you have one, if not a long 21mm socket will work)
3/8” ratchet
1/2” impact gun or 1/2” breaker bar (Wheel lug nuts)
Small pry bar or large screw driver or large pliers (To compress brake calliper piston)
T30 torx bit (Removal of factory rotor set screw)
Phillips screw driver (To install new supplied rotor set screw)
Hammer (To remove old rotor)
Wire brush or die grinder with cleaning wheel with either wire or scotch brite wheel (to remove rust from wheel hub and calliper bracket)
Can of brake cleaner (To clean off rust and debris and to clean your tools)

Don’ forget to use jack stands to support the vehicle and wheel blocks to place behind the wheels. Safety first 👍🏻
