This assembly is EXTREMELY well designed and has excellent craftsmanship!
This fixes the “small percentage engagement” of the OEM lock mechanism and also solves the typical broken plastic bezel too.
Absolutely a GREAT fix to keep your trunk from ever coming open on its own and complete mechanical completed latching system.

Small regular screwdriver
22mm deep well socket (7/8” should also work)
243 LocTite
Wire cutters
#7 drill bit (or 1/4”)

Hope this video helps anyone who has had issues and paid the dealer HUNDREDS of dollars, to not only have the same exact thing happen again!
This assembly is a complete fix and replaces the OEM cheap and horrible set up.
