The Vetted VA Summer Camp is an annual multi-day community-building event hosted by Vetted VA, an organization dedicated to educating veterans and mortgage professionals on VA home loan benefits.

Unlike traditional industry conferences, the camp is designed as an "un-conference" with a focus on shared experiences rather than classroom lectures or sales pitches.

Vetted VA leadership emphasizes that the event is about building trust and "lifelong allies" among mortgage and real estate professionals who serve the veteran community. They intentionally avoid booths, keynote speakers, and product pushing to ensure "100% attentive presence."



Key Activities
The event typically takes place over three days in Pottsboro, Texas (near Lake Texoma) and includes:

Tactical Training: Extensive range time with various firearms (pistols, shotguns, and rifles). In 2023, attendees reportedly fired nearly 40,000 rounds.


Outdoor Adventure: Airboat rides on the Red River, swimming, and fishing (specifically Striper Bass fishing on Lake Texoma).

Social Connection: Live music, fireworks, and shared meals (like "Guns, Games, and Gumbo" nights).

Water Activities: A dedicated "Lake Day" featuring pontoon boats, jet skis, and beach games.

Who Attends?
Vetted VA Professionals: Mortgage brokers, loan officers, and real estate agents who have gone through the Vetted VA training tiers (Active Duty or Reservist).

Veterans & Spouses: Through the Vetted VA Foundation (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit), the organization sponsors veterans and their significant others to attend the camp all-expenses-paid.
