My 6 Favorite Bike Hacks: These road bike tips and mtb hacks will help you on and off road.
1. Never be without cash: Fold a $20, remove bar end plug, place in biggie to make it easy to grab, insert in handle bar (remove plug on down tube with multi tool, or remove handle bar grip).
2. Place identification inside headset (if you find a serial number on the bike, you can also take a photo and time stamp the picture) in case stolen and you later see in someones yard.
3. Use nail polish and then a coating of car wax for tiny paint chips when manufacturers touch up is not available.
4. Zip ties to hold chain stay frame protector in place
5. Duct tape around frame pump (if you carry one) for emergency repairs (if you don't carry a frame pump, wrap the tape around a short piece of pencil stashed in saddle bag)
6. Remove scuff marks with WD-40
