I used the GoPro HERO 9 Black's TimeWarp 3.0 feature to capture a recent bike ride along the Heritage Rail Trail that runs from New Freedom to York, Pennsylvania. I started my ride in New Freedom, and parked at the New Freedom Railroad Station parking lot, which has plenty of parking, and is right beside the trail. Technically, this parking lot is at about Mile Marker 2 of the trail, but I found it easier to park here rather than at Mile Marker 0, which just crosses the PA-MD border (I didn't see much parking available here at the "start"). A majority of the trail is finely packed gravel that runs alongside the railroad - I didn't see any moving trains on my ride, but the rail trail is now active (so be on the lookout). Once you hit Mile Marker 21 in York, the trail as you knew it for the first ~20 miles ends, and you have to navigate a couple low-trafficked streets to get to the start of a bike lane that leads to the northern section of the trail (there are small brown signs along the road with arrows and "Rail Trail" that guide you to the northern section of the trail). Although the northern section doesn't end until you hit John Rudy County Park, I had to turn around a few miles before then because the trail was blocked due to some downed trees from a recent storm. I carried my own food with me, but there were plenty of small towns and restaurants along the way where you could grab lunch/dinner. Round-tip (i.e. out & back) the ride comes out to ~50 miles.
